2027 Application Webinars

Please join us for our 2027 Open House! We will cover the basics of the scholarship and some of our recent Scholars will provide reflections on the application process as well as advice for applicants.

The webinar is a good overview for anyone interested in applying or for advisors, recommenders and others who want to learn more about who we are looking for in the Truman selection process.

The Foundation will have a series of webinars on the 2027 application process. The dates and topics appear below. Sign in instructions will be available on the dashboard page of registered users. Recordings will be posted on the dashboard page a day or so after each webinar.

All webinars are at 2:00 pm ET

• Open House: October 7, 2026: We will cover the basics of the scholarship and some of our recent Scholars will provide reflections on the application process as well as advice for applicants.
• Advisors: October 21, 2026: This session is open to Advisors only and will cover updates to the 2026 competition as well as suggestions for identifying and assisting applicants.
• Office Hours: January 20, 2027: This session is open to both 2027 Candidates and Advisors. We will provide an overview of frequently asked questions. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions or problems for our staff to troubleshoot.
• Finalists: February 24, 2027: This session is open to 2027 Finalists and all Advisors. We will discuss how best to prepare for interview and what to expect from the process. We will also discuss trends in interview preparation - some good, some less so - and provide an overview of frequent interview missteps.
  
  Questions are encouraged at all sessions. Staff will remain on hand after each session if there are questions specific to individual applicants.
