Brock is an Afghanistan veteran and Army basic-training Distinguished Honor Graduate. He recently co-founded Afghanistan Veterans Against the War and applied for conscientious objector status after studying nonviolence under Civil Rights Movement and Otpor leaders. He plans to consult future civil-resistance organizers and train security personnel to discourage protester abuse.
