Benjamin is a Rice University senior triple majoring in political science, Asian studies, and energy policy. A Morris K. and Stewart L. Udall Scholar, he organized a campus-wide weatherization initiative and hosted a high school Model UN conference focused on climate change and the environment. Prior to the 2012 election, Ben led several Get-Out-The-Vote activities including phonebanks, blockwalks, and voter registration drives. As a community activist, he has organized multiple candidate forums for Asian American voters featuring candidates running for the state legislature and local county offices. Ben served as an at-large Texas delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC. He has previously held internships with the White House's Council on Environmental Quality, the State Department, Center for Houston's Future, and various political campaigns.
