Russell studies history and government. He runs cross country and track and drives web content for the Claremont Port Side, a progressive student publication. He has interned for the Obama campaign and in the State Office of the Honorable Tom Udall. Last summer, he mentored U.S. military children stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. He plans to return to New Mexico and dedicate his life to alleviating his home state’s poverty and education problems.
