Joanna is an international culture and politics major focusing on how host countries receive immigrants. She has served extensively with immigrants in the DC area, worked as a research assistant to the Georgetown Institute for the Study of International Migration, and spent a semester serving deported migrants on the border. She plans to study for a Masters in Public Policy in order to later work in service and advocacy for immigrants.
