The Truman Scholars Association (TSA) was founded in 1998. All recipients of the Harry S. Truman scholarship are automatically members of the TSA. We are a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to create a vibrant community of and to serve as an advocate for Truman Scholars. The TSA achieves its goals through social events, the TSA list-serv, and occasional conferences and other events which are open to all members of the Truman community.
Although a separate entity from the Truman Foundation, TSA and the Truman Foundation work collaboratively on projects including the pre-finalist interview dinners and Truman Scholar Mentoring Program (part of the Truman Fellows Program).
The mission of the Truman Scholars Association (TSA) is to build, maintain and educate a community of Truman Scholars; to foster a life long commitment to public service in all its forms through intellectual, personal, and professional development; and to support and promote public service. All Truman Scholars are invited to join the Truman Scholars Association (TSA).
