The following programs and services are offered to Truman Scholars. 

Truman Scholar Leadership Week
This weeklong event introduces newly selected Truman Scholars to the Truman community. 

Summer Institute
The Truman Scholar Summer Institute is an annual program for Truman Scholars. SI provides the Scholars with internships, graduate level seminars, and a summer of community building in Washington, DC. 2011 Truman Scholars will apply in the fall and attend SI in 2012.

Truman-Albright Fellows Program
The Truman-Albright Fellows Program incorprates public service employment, an educational component, mentoring opportunities, and participation in a community service program. The program is funded through the generosity of the Truman Foundation President, Secretary Madeleine K. Albright.

Truman Scholars Association
All Truman Scholars are members of the Truman Scholars Association (TSA). Click here to find out more about TSA's activities.

Truman Scholars Leadership Week
05.22.2012

Congratulations to the 2012 Class of Truman Scholars!  Truman Scholars Leadership Week will take place from May 22nd to May 27th at William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.

Request for Deferral
06.15.2012

Letters of Deferral should be uploaded by this date.

Employment Status Reports
07.15.2012

Employment Status Reports are due for any Scholar selected after 2005 who is subject to the provisions of  the Accountability Policy.  Please see The Reporting Guidelines for further details.

Annual Report Due
07.15.2012

Annual reports should be uploaded by this date.

Graduate Proposals Due
12.01.2012

Graduate Proposals for those Scholars planning on using Foundation funds for the 2013 School Year should be uploaded by this date.

Summer Institute Applications
09.25.2012

All applications should be to Andy Kirk by this date.

Summer Institute Contracts
01.15.2013

Contracts should be signed and returned by this date.
